Meet Cynthia Connelly, Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Cynthia joined Meeting Escrow in January 2019 as Vice President, Sales & Marketing following a successful career with Accor/Fairmont Hotels as Global Sales Director and most recently, Executive Director, Hotel Openings & Integration.

Her hotel experience has seen her managing unique incentive programs and international events such as the Commonwealth Games and multiple corporate incentive programs in the hi-tech community. Her leadership excellence and tenacity was crucial to complex, international projects with the Savoy in London, The Plaza in New York, and the Peace Hotel in Shanghai. Her most recent hotel opening was the Fairmont Austin.

Cynthia has served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) and as President of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Ottawa Chapter.

After six weeks in the company, Cynthia is enjoying getting to delve deeper into the role "I have worked in numerous roles in hotels from sales to project management and I have overseen many new hotel openings. I've worked with contractors, I've managed suppliers and I've monitored fluctuating currency exchanges that have affected project budgets. So I am looking forward to helping people in the business events industry understand the benefits and overall security that Meeting Escrow services can provide".
